The Urban Cries Book was inspired by the founders of the Hip Hop Culture, including the famous Afrika Bambaata, Dj Kool Hercs, Kurtis Blow, as well as other pioneering artists such as KRS One, Roxanne Shante, Biz Markie and Queen Latifah

The 'Urban Cries' Book was created as a medium of Communication, and for raising awareness amongst young people within the UK's Music Culture.

This website therefore harnesses a variety of topics and programmes that enable teenagers and young adults to share knowledge and information that inspires, motivates, cultivates and empowers.

Both Urban Cries and DECK were initiated in line with the criterias of the

IAC 999 Charter.
